The 1-Up Super is a special type of 1-Up Mushroom found only in the Mario & Luigi series. If one of the characters is to lose all of their HP (BP in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga) and fall in battle, another character can use a 1-Up Super to bring the fallen brother back to life with their full total HP. A regular 1-Up Mushroom can also be used in the Mario & Luigi series to bring a fallen player back to life after falling in battle, but then they only would be brought back with 1/2 their total HP. In the Beanbean Kingdom, it is grown with a thin stub and without eyes. But in the Mushroom Kingdom and just about everywhere else, it is grown with a thicker stub and with eyes, like most other species of 1-Up Mushrooms.
