Michelle Bernstein's much-missed Design District eatery, Sra. Martinez, has made its return — this time as a pop up inside the Thompson Miami Beach Hotel, the same hotel that houses Bernstein's Seagrape restaurant.
Taking over the hotel's 1930s House lounge, the pop-up offers many of the same tapas that Sra. Martinez was known for like its lardo-wrapped figs, crispy artichokes, croquetas and imported charcuterie. Expect the classic cocktails to make a comeback too, this time created by the Thompson Miami Beach’s Director of Beverage Michael MacDonnell.
For the reincarnation of Sra. Martinez, it is also throwing some entertainment into the mix, featuring guest DJs and live Cuban music every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
No word yet on how long this pop-up plans to stick around. Stay tuned for more details.
