Two men have been arrested in connection with the rape of a teenage boy in The Lanes, Brighton.
A 40-year-old man and a 42-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of rape and are in police custody.
The victim, 19, reported being approached by two unknown individuals near the fish and chip shop Harry Ramsdens in Old Steine at about 3.30am on December 21.
He was raped in Steine Lane, around a four-minute walk away, shortly afterwards.
The teen managed to get help from a passer-by who phoned the police.
Specialist officers are continuing to support him as the investigation continues.

The 40-year-old man is from Redhill, Surrey, and was arrested in Esher, Surrey and the 42-year-old is from Chessington, Kingston-Upon-Thomas, and was arrested in Ramsgate, Kent.
Both men were arrested on Thursday, December 26 on suspicion of rape. They remain in police custody at this time.
Detective Inspector Sean Booth said: ‘These arrests were as a direct result of excellent work from our dedicated team of staff, officers and the public.
‘We are still urging anyone with information about this incident to contact police online, or by calling 101, quoting Operation Attach.’
