- Rename per naming policy
This article should be renamed to Yondu. The current Naming Policy states that character entries should be listed by their Marvel Comics codename. Since his introduction in 1969, Yondu Udonta's alias/codename has simply been Yondu. It is his editorial name, and he has multiple solo comic series simply titled Yondu. It is his current alias on Marvel database and the official Marvel website. We have had similar articles, like Elektra, with a similar comics history, where their first name is also their Marvel comics codename. I believe extending that same logic to this page will keep current naming policy more consistent. Criszz (talk) 20:58, 23 August 2022 (UTC)
- I agree with this proposal. The basis for Yondu's codename falls under the same criteria as Elektra's codename, and if Elektra is distinguished as being an exception for the same editorial reasons Yondu is, it would make sense to change the article's name to Yondu instead of Yondu Udonta to properly reflect Marvel's intentions.
