- "Romeo would roll over in his grave, the way you hop-skipping with these cats nowadays. He was a man on these streets. You's a boy."
- ―Turk Barrett to Zip[src]
Romeo was a member of Rivals alongside with Shades and Comanche.
Biography[]
During his criminal life, Romeo befriended Hernán Álvarez and Darius Jones and together they founded a gang known as the Rivals. The Rivals gained reputation on the streets of Harlem, with Romeo becoming known for his strength and loyalty, admired by men like Turk Barrett.[1] However, the gang broke apart when Romeo died and Alvarez and Jones were arrested and incarcerated. Before he died, Romeo had a son who followed in his footsteps and became a member of the Stokes Crime Family.[2]
When Zip left Cottonmouth and became Diamondback's enforcer, Barrett told Zip that Romeo would roll over in his grave because of his unloyalty and childish behavior. Shades remarked on it too after the unsuccessful assassination attempt, noting that Romeo would be ashamed and disappointed because of his son's actions.[3]
