Mr. Larssen is a Norwegian farmer and the former neighbor of Karen Page in Fagan Corners.
Biography[]
Mr. Larssen lived on a farm with his wife, and was a neighbor of Karen Page. He would always let his wife talk on his behalf and offer help to whomever needed it.
When Larssen's wife hit black ice on the road and died in the resulting car crash, everyone in Fagan Corners went to her funeral support him. Larssen sat through the sermon, gathered the casseroles he brought for the farm, and resumed work on his farm as though nothing had happened. Page visited him in an attempt to be a good neighbor. However, when she asked if he wanted to talk about what had happened, Larssen asked what for.[1]
Personality[]
Mr. Larssen appeared to be generous and kind, and would always allow his wife to talk for him. He also seemed very helpful, especially during winters when things would freeze.
