The Capture of Sarge was a successful attempt by Melinda May to capture Sarge and take him to S.H.I.E.L.D. custody.

Sarge managed to capture Melinda May when he and his squad orchestrated an attack on Deke Shaw, whom they had mistaken as a Shrike host due to his status as a time-traveller. Sarge kept May prisoner on his truck and questioned her about Phil Coulson, a man who had the same appearance as Sarge.
In order to gain her trust, Sarge had Snowflake capture a Human infected by a Shrike, which he let May fight alone. As May realized the threat that they were against, Sarge explained that he came to Earth to fight the Shrike and their creator. Sarge left Snowflake to take care of the prisoner, while he was driving the truck.[3]

Melinda May knocks out Snowflake
Melinda May began mocking Snowflake by telling her that she's insane, and the latter tried to convince her to be reincarnated. However, it was all a mere distraction and May easily knocked down Snowflake. May freed herself and grabbed a rope, which she used in an attempt to strangle Sarge. Despite the element of surprise, Sarge was able to break free and overpowered May. He taunted her by mentioning Phil Coulson, but this only made her more determined to kill Sarge. As May remembered her time on Tahiti with Coulson, May was able to knock out Sarge and tie him to the truck with a handcuff. May then took control of the truck and drove it to the Lighthouse.[3]

Sarge and Snowflake are taken prisoners to the Playground
Just as S.H.I.E.L.D. was welcoming Daisy Johnson's return from space, Trevor Khan received a call from Melinda May, announcing him of Sarge's capture. He then proceeded to tell the news to Alphonso Mackenzie and other agents.[3]
Sarge and Snowflake were then handcuffed and taken to the lower levels of the Playground. Sarge had Melinda May explaining everything he told her about the Shrike to Alphonso Mackenzie. Sarge also noticed they had prematurely removed his blade from Harold Simcoe's corpse and told them that that was a grave mistake. He then told Mackenzie S.H.I.E.L.D. was not prepared to face the Shrike, but he was, and that he should be freed immediately to no avail.
Sarge realizes Mackenzie and S.H.I.E.L.D. need his help
When the Search for the Shrike went terribly wrong, Mackenzie felt obliged to let Sarge fight the Shrike, but under S.H.I.E.L.D.'s terms.[4] Therefore, Sarge, Snowflake, Melinda May, Daisy Johnson and Deke Shaw were sent to destroy the Shrike Tower.[5]
