Success Story: Charlie Ryan
Charlie Ryan went on a journey to change his body composition. He chose to use MacroFactor to help him along the way.
“With MacroFactor I’ve been able to transform my body in a fairly short amount of time like I didn’t think was possible. I started using MF last July and bulked up a fair amount until the end of the year, maybe taking the bulk a little too far and too fast. Since January I’ve been able to cut down roughly 25 pounds while keeping all of the muscle I put on, looking drastically different than when I started last year. I’ve gotten tons of compliments and people asking how I did it, and I’m always quick to recommend MF.”
When asked what his biggest win with MacroFactor was, Charlie said:
“My biggest win is definitely cutting 25 pounds this year and getting visible abs for the first time since high school. MF has helped me stay motivated and consistent, and it has paid off with a big increase in both self confidence and general health.”
In Case You Missed It
We share a lot of informative content on our Instagram and in our groups on Facebook and Reddit throughout the month.
Here are some of our favorites from the past few weeks, in case you missed them.
What We’re Working On
Expenditure
MacroFactor’s coaching functionality is at the core of the app, and coaching updates rely on the expenditure calculation. The V1 expenditure algorithm was already the market leader, and V2 was a large improvement over V1. Ever since V2 was released, we’ve been hard at work trying to figure out how we could take another large leap forward.
The last two years of research, development, and tinkering are about to come to fruition with V3 of the expenditure algorithm. We’ve made a pretty large breakthrough that will allow your expenditure (and, as a result, your program recommendations) to be considerably more stable and tolerant of short-term weight fluctuations, without making it slower to respond to actual energy expenditure changes.
As an added bonus, V3 will also be more tolerant of missing data, so your expenditure calculation won’t pause as frequently when you miss days of food logging, and it will be able to start updating sooner after a pause.
So, be on the lookout for Expenditure V3 in the next month or two.
