Sergio, a 37-year-old corporate sustainability professional, has been transforming his life and health over the past two years, balancing weight loss while maintaining — and even gaining — muscle mass.
“I was obese my whole life,” he said. “Losing weight was just one (big) part of my journey, but so was muscle growth and tracking other health aspects. “Because of MacroFactor and weight lifting, I was able to reach my initial goal weight (losing an additional 90lb) in about 14 months, while gaining about 3lb of muscle mass. In those 14 months, my body-fat percentage went from approximately 50% to just under 20%.”
Sergio also learned throughout his journey that progress doesn’t demand perfection — whether in food tracking or food choices.

At that point, I will either maintain or try a lean bulk to grow a bit more muscle, maybe to get up to about 195 or so,” he said. “But what I am really looking forward to is that, regardless of how my goals evolve in the years to come, I know I can count on MacroFactor to help me get there.”
