Luna Park is located less than 9kms from Melbourne’s CBD in the ever popular beachside suburb of St Kilda. As a popular destination for both tourists and Melburnians alike there are many ways to get here, ranging from catching as tram that can drop you off at our doorstep to a leisurely ride along the beautiful Port Phillip Bay foreshore

Car Parking

There is ample paid parking surrounding Luna Park in car parks and on street at council rates.

The Palais Theatre on Jacka Boulevard also has parking at council rates.

The St Kilda Sea Baths on Jacka Boulevard has undercover parking available. Check closing times.

Council Parking Rates are $16.00 daily rate until midnight (or $6.00 per hour) – Please note that these prices were correct at the time of publication however parking is run by the Port Phillip City Council and the price is subject to change without notice.

Patrons are responsible for checking ticket machines at time of the parking ticket purchase. Please ensure you have sufficient change or a credit card to pay for parking. (Prices may change at the Council’s discretion)

Accessible Car Parking

There are a limited number of accessible parking places to the side of Luna Park in Cavell Street, and at both ends of the Luna Park car park in Shakespeare Grove.

Cars displaying a Category 1 disabled parking permit (blue permit) are exempt from paying parking fees in any of the Council parking areas around Luna Park.

Taxi

A designated taxi rank is located on Acland Street near the Carlisle Street intersection, outside The Vineyard.

Tram 16 – Melbourne University to Kew via St Kilda Beach

Tram 96 – East Brunswick to St Kilda Beach

Train

Take the Sandringham Line. Get off at Balaclava Station – Cnr Carlisle Street & William Place, Balaclava

Take Tram 16 to Acland Street – Stop No. 138 – Luna Park/The Esplanade (St Kilda)

Bus

Route 246 – Clifton Hill – St Kilda – Elsternwick Station

Route 600/922/923 – St Kilda Light-Rail Station to Southland Shopping Centre

Route 606 – Fishermans Bend – Elsternwick Station

Route 623 – Glen Waverley to St Kilda
