]]>casting can make any movie fun but that doesn’t mean the actual movie was good
personally dislike movies that seem too fake
and this one had just that
3 star
i dont think there’s a possible way of actually reviewing this
don’t get me wrong i enjoyed it
but yeah
"i was most excited for you to come."
why did i rate this a 1 star the first time?😭
such a haunting and visually stunning film about trauma and cultural dissonance.
story follows Dani who joins her boyfriend and his friends on a trip to a remote Swedish village for a once in a lifetime midsummer festival, What begins as a sweet retreat soon turns into a disturbing and surreal living nightmare.
the way this was directed is masterful
the films pacing allows for a slow build up of tension leading to a series of shocking and grotesque events.
this ain’t just a horror film
it's a deeply psychological exploration of human emotions and relationships. the blend of folklore, psychological horror and stunning cinematography makes it an unforgettable movie experience.
definitely a must watch for those who appreciate horror that goes beyond just jump scares
even after saying all of this
this is such a waste of time
3.5
that dude must really stink to have that fly following him the entire movie

]]>"You are what you love, not what loves you."
there is nothing better than 2 nicolas cages in the SAME movie
Adaptations narrative structure is its standout feature mirroring the chaotic and often frustrating process of writing and creativity.
Cage delivers a remarkable performance capturing the neurotic and self doubting nature of Charlie while also portraying the more confident and carefree Donald.
unique storytelling approach combined with stellar performances and sharp writing makes it a compelling and intellectually stimulating film.
This movie is great for anyone interested in the complexities of storytelling and the art of adaptation. (not really me)
3 stars but deserves 3.5
i almost watched this movie like 7 times when i was younger and dodged it everytime
im so proud of myself 😭
2.5

2.5 star
great coming of age college movie
makes you really feel seen by how relatable it is
(not for me 😭)
Shithouse is a coming of age drama that captures the raw and often messy experience of college life.
Directed by Cooper Raiff
(who also stars as the lead)
the film delves into the life of Alex
a lonely freshman struggling to adjust to his new environment. The narrative is heartfelt and authentic portraying the awkwardness and vulnerability of young adulthood.
The interactions between Alex and Maggie are especially poignant showcasing the complexities of human connection.
The dialogue feels natural and unforced making the characters experiences relatable and engaging.
The strength of Shithouse lies in its honest depiction of relationships and emotional growth.

]]>“they kidnapped the furniture too?” 😭😭
i LOVE kidnapping movies
i never knew how good both Casey Affleck and Michelle Monaghan were with their performances
Gone Baby Gone is a crime drama that delves into the moral complexities of child abduction and the search for truth.
The film follows couple private investigators as they are hired to find a missing girl in a tough Boston neighborhood.
As they dig deeper into the case they uncover layers of corruption and deception that challenge their own boundaries.
3.5
“thats the same thing i keep seeing in my nightmares”
i actually find myself to love movies like these but this one just didn’t land for me like the rest
Black Box is a psychological thriller that delves into the complexities of memory and identity.
The film follows Nolan a man who loses his wife
and memory in a car accident.
Struggling to regain his past and rebuild his life he undergoes an experimental treatment that leads him to question the nature of his reality.
for a thriller this wasn’t really good at all
i would’ve liked to be on the edge of my seat a bit more ykwim??

The Giant Robot is a captivating sci-fi adventure that brings together elements of action, drama and a touch of nostalgia.
The film follows the story of a young engineer who discovers a massive ancient robot hidden in the mountains and as she tries to uncover its origins and purpose she becomes entangled in a government conspiracy and must fight to protect the robot from those who seek to exploit its power.
The movie excels in its visual effects with the giant robot itself being a standout feature.
The design and animation are impressive bringing a sense of awe and wonder to the screen.
The supporting cast adds depth to the story creating an engaging narrative.
personally don’t really care for animations so I’ll only give this 4 stars
]]>“you got your dads eyes”
“you know my daddy?”
“noo”
tf😭
tells the story of a young woman played by Bella Thorne who returns to her small hometown to confront her abusive father and kill him but only to find out someone has beaten her to it.
as she delves deeper into the mystery she uncovers dark secrets about her family and the town itself.
The film is anchored by Thornes committed performance which brings a raw depth to her character.
people talk bad about her a lot but idc she’s a great actor in many films and she’s hot 🤷♀️
The supporting cast including Mickey Rourke and Chad Faust who also directed the film add layers of complexity to the story. The cinematography effectively captures the bleak and oppressive atmosphere of the small town enhancing the film's overall sense of tension and unease.
such a compelling and well crafted thriller that explores themes of family, vengeance and self discovery.
It's a gripping watch that keeps viewers engaged with its twists and turns making it a solid choice for fans of the genre.
3.5
okay it actually wasn’t that good but it has
Ryan Gosling and Margaret Qualley as the
main characters so yeah

]]>“you lost thousand dollars of organs”
unique horror comedy
12 Hour Shift is a dark comedy thriller that takes
viewers on a wild ride through a single,
chaotic night at a hospital.
The film centers around Mandy (a nurse with a drug problem) who becomes entangled in a black market organ trading scheme.
As the night progresses, things spiral out of control leading to a series of increasingly absurd and dangerous situations.

that first kill attempt was mad embarrassing
seriously took me 3 years to finally watch the second part and wow it’s awesome she fr killed bill

WHAT AN INSANE START??? AND GREAT ENDING
this horror movie was made by YouTubers and it’s actually so good chat
this movie was crazy bro
The story follows a group of friends who discover a mysterious embalmed hand that allows them to communicate with spirits and what begins as a thrilling experiment quickly spirals into a terrifying ordeal as they unleash dark forces beyond their own control.
The film excels in creating a tense and eerie atmosphere but fails to be all that scary which doesn’t matter because its a horror movie that doesn’t need jump-scares to scare the audience
"Talk to Me" is not just a typical horror film
it delves into themes of grief, guilt and the human desire to connect with the unknown.
The directors skillfully balance horror
with emotional depth making the characters
struggles and fears resonate with the audience.
such a good film between the living and the dead
havnt seen a good horror movie in a while so wow
5 star
“i just killed your freaking radio”
the first time i saw this was 4 years ago when i was 13 and i didn’t understand so couldn’t say anything about it but now older and understanding i can say that Do the Right Thing directed by Spike Lee is a powerful and provocative film that explores racial tensions and social issues in a Brooklyn neighborhood on the hottest day of the summer.
The movie centers around Mookie, played by Spike Lee (who now might be my favorite director) Mookie is a young black man who works at Sal's Famous Pizzeria and it also centers around the interactions between the diverse community members.
Each character is richly developed providing
a multifaceted view of the community and
the underlying tensions that erupt into violence.
Spike Lee's direction is bold and unflinching tackling complex issues of race, prejudice and injustice without offering easy answers.
The film's climax is both shocking and thought provoking, prompting viewers to reflect on the consequences of anger and the importance of understanding and empathy.
This movie remains a relevant and influential film praised for its honest portrayal of race relations and its ability to spark important conversations.
It's a cinematic masterpiece that challenges audiences to confront uncomfortable truths and consider what it means to truly "do the right thing"

]]>“If i ever stopped being your friend would you rob me?”
“never.”
the 2012 vibes are just there
the cast and music made this so much fun
i like how this was actually based off a true story i find it funny when rich people lose expensive items
The Bling Ring is a fascinating exploration of celebrity culture and the allure of fame.
follows a group of teenagers who obsessed with the glamorous lives of Hollywood stars, begin breaking into the homes of celebrities to steal their designer clothes, jewelry, and other luxury items
The film's soundtrack filled with contemporary pop and hip-hop tracks complements the flashy and fast paced lifestyle that the characters lead.
Emma Watson stands out with her portrayal of Nicki (a fame hungry teenager) Her performance captures the vacuous nature of her character adding a layer of authenticity to the film.
The rest of the cast including Katie Chang and Israel Broussard also deliver strong performances
bringing to life the reckless and misguided youth
However while this movie effectively critiques the obsession with celebrity culture it sometimes feels more like a documentary than a narrative film lacking in emotional depth and character development but despite all this it is an engaging and visually appealing film that offers a sobering look at the consequences of idolizing fame and materialism.
