Hail Satan!
Started off a little slow, but slowly got more & more suspenseful and interesting as the movie goes on.
Now having finally seen Longlegs, was it worth the hype?
Yes it is!
This movie is indeed the modern day Silence of the Lambs! With its unapologetic gothic visual tone, interesting plot twists, great character build up, lots of suspenseful atmosphere throughout, pacing pretty great overall, superb acting performances from the cast, excellent direction and editing, and cool shots, Longlegs may go down as one of the top movies of 2024. 👌
As someone that didn’t care too much for the director’s previous film Gretel and Hansel, this movie was not only a pleasant surprise, but it was also overall a pretty excellent film on its own. Very highly recommended!
