I have no shame in calling the leap of faith the greatest movie scene of the 21st century
This is probably my 4th viewing and it gets better every time. Based on my knowledge of exponential growth (which is, I digress, limited) I can see this breaching my top 10 of all time.
It’s just so amazing. Best looking movie with colour, best superhero movie, roundest villain of all time.
The best way to describe it is as doing everything the 2019 Black Christmas tried, and failed to do. It’s a new take on an old story, it feels modern but faithful, it’s made for an actual reason, it’s progressive, and it doesn’t suck!
It’s fair to say Spiderverse 2 has a LOT to live up to. Here’s hoping it’s more Aliens and not Alien 3.
