Black Panther has finally clicked with me: while it may have inconsistent effects and it’s share of uninteresting moments—particularly in the first act—it is notably a step up from a lot of the MCU on many levels. It’s cinematography isn’t perfect, but is better than a lot of the franchise, and it has some fantastic action, emotive moments and a roster of loveable characters (T’Challa is one of my favourites, many thanks to the brilliant performance by Boseman, and Killmonger is one of the best MCU villains) all backed by a stellar and fitting soundtrack. It’s not one of my favourites, but it is finally one that I love!
