This is the coming-of-age movie. This is really how it feels to be a fifteen-year-old kid, who is immature, overly ambitious, and most importantly, feels powerless. Even then, still being very imaginative and kind. It interests me that the film also sports an imaginative and kind tone in the visuals and music, yet it is driven by poignant themes of immaturity and feeling powerless. "Yu."
    "No, not me, you."
    "Yes, I'm Yu."

    "Mi."
    "Yes, you."
    "I am Mi."
"He is Mi, and I am Yu."

The combination of it being my girlfriend's first time seeing it, and 18K resolution on theatre screen and speakers, made it as if I was seeing this thing for the first time again. My eyes were…

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

The only few moments spent without smiling while watching this were spent in deep trance-like suspense. Sam Raimi is probably just about the coolest director to date. He's one of those directors that truly saturates every frame with his style, so you are always aware you're watching a Raimi film. The hypnotizing dynamic cinematography, the utterly ridiculous moments and absurd humor, which are coupled with the most bad-ass screen sequences possibly imaginable. A man with a chainsaw for a hand,…
