Feels like every trailer or synopsis for this movie draws a confidently and misleadingly clean cut picture of the story or atmosphere. But I was pretty spellbound by it. Like other good stuff I’ve seen recently it feels alive beyond just being a well constructed piece, as glib as that kind of sounds. The more I’m sitting on it the more I’m feeling from it. Josh O’Connor is excellent. Is it the summer of Josh? A depressed window into a world that would feel supernatural if the whole thing wasn’t already so hazy and dreamy. I didn’t really feel like I was following everything, but I was also distracted by an impressive amount of Dune’s low end pushing through the walls. I’m super glad I caught this theatrically and was gonna say that was a small price to pay but honestly it was a bit more than a small price lol
