The best argument for this one is that it’s not only completely different to Raiders, but it’s also completely insane. I have to say I enjoy that. My Darling in Stirling 2023
My friend Hal grew up in Stirling, and I had a pretty profound reaction to seeing the town at the start of the film, remembering the many nights I stayed at his place and walked those streets.
There is a powerful familiarity to the film. I feel like I’ve been watching it on hotel tv menu screens my entire life.
It’s the sort of film that makes you want to hold hands with everybody in the theatre. I want to see this so many times I know all the words.
