There was absolutely no explanation of the origins of the myth, or even anything except a lazy mention in the credits that this was a Native American tale. Kinda deceiving.
I actually did get scared a few times though, lol

this movie is basically just a dollar tree Gremlins parody but it is absolutely hilarious
probably wouldn’t rewatch it but I would recommend to fellow enjoyers of the Gremlins or Critters movies
