Yep, this is still one of the greatest films I've watched. Should re-watch it again.
While watching Chidambaram, the opening scene instantly reminded me of Satantango. It’s been a while since I last watched it, and I felt like revisiting that slow, quiet sequence with the cows. The Tale of Devara could've easily been an epic of legend and his legacy but gets buried under the sea with its mediocre execution, melodramatic dialogues, cliche plotholes and over sexualized female eroticism.
