The film that introduced me to David Lynches grasping universe. A hypnotic exploration of identity, desire and hollywoods darker underbelly. Surreal and terrifying storytelling of haunted dreams, and speculation of what’s real or not. Diane Selwyn’s story is tragic. What could have been a Hollywood fairytale, eventually turns into what I believe to be, a hard reality of a failed actress, consumed with jealousy and a broken heart. Lynch’s abstract comedy is always a joy to watch, and he is…

Captain America: The Winter Soldier 2014
Back when the mcu knew how to put a story straight, with brilliant fighting choreography, decent pacing and didn’t rely on other source material and cameos. The ultimate action thriller, this universe has to offer. Betta than infinity war.

Kinds of Kindness 2024
A Freaky, playful, awkward, violent comedy. Has all the weird and absurd aspects I look for in a Lanthimos film. May actually be his best work. 2 hours and 44 minutes of amusing, janky filmmaking. MASTERPIECE!

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga 2024
I mean it has its strengths, but I simply can’t get into the world of Mad Max. The longs bike rides and action sequences doesn’t appeal to me in the slightest, and the pacing is completely out of bounce imo. That being said, I do find the story interesting enough, to care about the protagonist seek for Revenge. Anya-Taylor Joy is one of my favorite living actors, and gives the character Furiosa lots of power and energy. Her alone is…

Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie 1996
Tuned in for the 90’s 2d animation and funky soundtrack. Metal Sonic is the definition of aura, his scenes went hard!

Cries and Whispers 1972
Painful and agonizing. Perhaps the hardest Bergman film to sit through. Easily his most unbearable, insufferable group of characters put together. Liv Ullman keeps convincing me she is the best to ever do it, and Harriet Andersson? Absolutely marvelous, almost as good as in Through a Glass Darkly. Those closeup shots of there unpleasant facial expressions, has to be my favorite aspect of the film. The silence and long subtle cinematic scenery, creates enormous fear and anxiety through there eyes, which sends a cold, shivering feelings through my body. Pls, can someone just put them out there misery lmao.

Immaculate 2024
A damn fun horror flick! Is it scary? Well not really, but it still appeals in lots of ways, especially from its stylistic nature and stellar performance from Sydney Sweeney. Crazy ending too!

Winter Light 1963
Ok I just have to get something off my chest about Ingmar Bergman, who I can wholeheartedly say is imo the greatest director ever-
Bergman’s genius lies mostly in his empathy for the human condition. His films doesn’t offer easy answers or resolutions; instead, they invite you to sit with your own discomfort, to question, to feel. And while this might not sound like a "pleasant" experience, it’s an invaluable one (Autumn Sonata is a good example)
Every time I…

The Apartment 1960
Undeniably clever and twisted screenplay, exploring human vulnerability and decency in excellent manners. Love a film that can criticize corporate culture, and give the little guy a big payoff. Unfortunately as a film experience, It didn’t quite match my expectations and the characters never really got under my skin. That being said, I can 100% go along with the praise and appreciation. Good stuff all around!
