This is what I love about watching movies.
When I first watched The Nice Guys, I liked it, but I didn’t love it. I can’t remember why.
Now, revisiting a few years later, I absolutely adore the film. I like how Shane Black makes Atlanta look like ‘70s Los Angeles. I can’t help but laugh every time Ryan Gosling trips and falls. You can’t help but cheer for the rough and rugged, Russell Crowe. I like the duel narrators at the beginning. Matt Bomer is John Boy. Kids usually get in the way in R-rated movies, but Angourie Rice‘s Holly March is the glue that holds the film together.
The vibe of The Nice Guys is quintessential buddy cop. All I want for Christmas is a sequel to The Nice Guys.
