    kim novak’s eyes are so magnetic! also missing the representation of women in their 20’s living with their families. (it only means that their family’s feel the right to have a say in their life but anyway…).

    sweet in all the right ways. two people who can’t let you go of their past griefs to find something rather someone with “life” again.

    I’m buzzing right now!! This movie was everything and more. 

    I might need a rewatch to articulate everything I want to say but I’m just gonna write my thoughts on the first watch.

    I walked in expecting a satire and got a beautiful portrayal of familial relationships. I mean it’s two for one but it’s done so well here. Happy knowning that Cord Jefferson got an Oscar for this screenplay. It balances the comedic and emotional so perfectly. I’m happy I didn’t see this in theatres because I would’ve been hesitant if…some people…laughed at parts that weren’t meant for them (iykyk). Anyway, amazing cast and delicious score! 

    And now I wanna read the book its based on…
