The best musical of 2024 in a walk, Better Man shouldn't work but holy hell it does. Having no connection to any of the Robbie Williams songbook, this just played as a heartfelt yet bombastic musical.
The VFX here are some of the greatest I've seen, a massive leap forward both technically and emotionally. Weta FX really outdid themselves here and that Oscar nomination is more than well-deserved.

Ending your movie with that line, quickly followed by 'Written and Directed by Quentin Tarantino' is such a hilarious, ballsy move. Thing is, he's not wrong. Inglorious Basterds really is one of the greatest films of the last 20 years.
Filled with iconic imagery and some top-flight performances, Basterds grabs a hold and never lets go. The last Tarantino edited by Sally Menke, her steady hand has been missed ever since.
