This was incredible!! Paul mescal gave more than he ever could in those little indie films. Pedro is the people’s princess. Joseph Quinn slayed like I believed he would (and will for fantastic 4). Denzel being the only one without an accent was hilarious bc he probably just said no I’m not doing that and they were like “ok! no worries!” I would love to say no notes but there was one scene I was very surprised they focused on for that long 😭 when you watch it you’ll know what I’m talking about. I heard complaints about realism but this one scene had me laughing and it most definitely was not supposed to be funny. Ridley Scott did not in fact outdo himself, as the first Gladiator film is incomparable. But on its own it is still excellent—I will say it’s missing some grittiness, but that didn’t bother me. I was entertained!!!!
