I felt like a Marvel scholar watching this, with my Disney+ U diploma in encyclopedic knowledge of Kree-Skrull history and the nuances of Carol Danvers's legacy, relationships, and 30+ year development. To someone who hasn't watched/rewatched Captain Marvel, Secret Invasion, WandaVision, Miss Marvel, and Guardians of the Galaxy, however? This is probably glitzy space gibberish cinema with some surprisingly effective humor, a lot of tentacle cat monsters, and a welcome dose (though not nearly enough) of Park Seo-jun.
Notes: - The Khans are still the MVPs (no surprise there). - The similarities of the Kree-Skrull conflict to real-life horrors (especially with resource colonization being a subplot of this) continue to be eerily reminiscent of the tragic time we live in.
