A proper Christmas ghost story set in Sleepy Hollow! In a just world this would be as beloved as It’s a Wonderful Life or A Christmas Carol. Surprisingly heartwarming.

Krampus: The Christmas Devil 2013
The most Ed Hardy 2008 movie I’ve ever seen.
It’s giving fat suburban dads make a movie vibes.
All the cops are skinheads? Yeah, I guess that tracks.
Trashy and almost delightfully bad. Almost.

Beezel 2024
Apparently, my favorite subgenre of horror these days is the small budget one-location indie made by a tight knit group, like a family. Think of what the Adams family is doing. You don’t realize that attribute about Beezel until you get to the credits and start counting how many Fradkins were involved in its making.
Beezel is kind of a hybrid of haunted house/witch/found footage that with the different time periods and technology plays like an anthology film. A mashup like that shouldn’t work, but it’s a compelling ride throughout its brief 82 minutes.
Can’t wait to see what Aaron Fradkin and Victoria Fratz-Fradkin do next.

Beaten to Death 2022
Mumble-core hillbilly torture-porn is decidedly not my subgenre.
Still, I respect the shifting timeline structure and the cinematography was top-notch.
