On rewatch (watching Furiosa prior in comparison)…
An awesome, thoroughly well-made, modern addition to such a classic, high-octane franchise.
In the first act, the clusterfuck action begins as it means to go on, the characters take a deep dive into the wastelands, as they attempt to surpass its destructive weather conditions, with conflicting, individual missions for their own cause in mind, displaying feudal tendencies trying to complete them, which leads to an excellent fight sequence. As for the road warrior, caught up in the chaos, he must confront the seemingly endless, dangerous pursuit at hand, and now make decisions for the good of the group, formed along the way.
The vibrancy this film generates is freakishly good, especially in the enchanting and imposingly blue allure of an atmosphere the night possesses; reflecting on those beneath. In his truly extraordinary cinematography, Miller uses the empowering and zooming camera shots in the midst of the action to his advantage; further emphasising the likes of Immortan Joe and other key characters. Not to mention the important inclusion of a great storyline; conducted by some astoundingly talented screenplay, evidently shining in the finale.
This film deserves all the praise it gets, for the consistent flow of entertainment it provides is on another level.
Side note - that mf really cranks that guitar to its fullest extent 🫨
