Finally got around to this and without getting any of it spoiled even. In all honesty a pretty stupid film but consistently tense and unnerving enough to work its magic on you, not to mention that Maika Monroe is just an utterly incredible actress who often tends to be leagues above the material she's given to work with. Camera work and sound design are among the finest of the year as well, this entire thing is so unrelentingly cold and merciless and vile that it genuinely managed to scare the shit out of me. Shame it stumbles on the finish line though, at the end of the day it tries a bit too hard to be Cure (1997) and I actually called the big bad twist about halfway through. In case I didn't mention it already, I love Maika Monroe :)
