I have not been able to stop thinking about Longlegs since I watched it last week, which must mean it’s a good movie right?
Though it’s definitely more of a crime thriller than a horror, it is still chilling to the bone. Maika Monroe and Nicolas Cage are at the top of their game here, and their battle of wits will have you on the edge of your seat the entire movie.
Though I was riveted by most of the film, I felt the ending left a bit to be desired. I can’t tell how I would have liked it to be different though and that’s what’s been keeping me thinking about it for so long. Maybe it doesn’t need changing at all and this lingering feeling is the result of good storytelling? Maybe I need to watch it again to better formulate my thoughts? Either way, Longlegs is a film that is sure to stick with you and that’s so much more than you can say about most films these days.
