brilliant performance from olivia cooke, as usual she's great in anything she's in. but this movie is a huge disappointment, as much as i hate to use this term but it's almost as if it's just an exploitative misery porn for the sake of shock value. yes i do get that the movie is supposed to revolve around a teenage waitress turned prostitute due to her unfortunate circumstances. this could've been a social commentary on how unsafe and fucked up…

idek which one to rate this movie on a scale from 0.5 to 5 stars bc woah... it's one of the movies that leaves you super confused after having finished it, you just go "why was this made ?"

unfriendly reminder that colleen hoveer protected her son when he was getting accused of SA-ing a girl + the original books heavily romanticized abuse, save your time from this and watch something else instead.

the drastic height difference between elvis and priscilla really does emphasize the imbalanced power dynamic (further shows priscilla was a child being taken advantage of by an older man who was also much more physically and financially powerful than her) and the superb acting from the lead actress cailee spaeny, she manages to start off with the innocent, child-like priscilla and then as the movie goes, we're here to witness the young girl being forced to grow up and act more mature compared to her actual age :,)
props to sofia coppola for the casting choice, she really never missed !
