this sequel had a lot to live up to from a great first film and it absolutely delivered. i had never seen the original until yesterday and i really enjoyed it as well as this sequel. the cinematography was outstanding, the fight sequences were also great, and even though i don’t understand the ancient rome storyline at some points, i still loved the story. i think i liked both the original and the sequel equally but maybe this one just a little bit. the acting in this film was the best part to me from paul mescal, pedro pascal, joseph quinn, and denzel washington. paul and denzel’s roles definitely stood out the most and they should definitely be nominated for awards soon. i think paul mescal might be my pick for best actor this year. i loved seeing my hot men on screen together i can take them (not in a fight) 🙂↕️
