Beautiful insight about Ex Jugoslavia’ cinematographic production studios and cinema as propaganda medium. On the background is the history of the country during Tito dictatorship. Full of anecdotes movie which offers an interesting sight on the events leading to Tito’s death and the start of Balkan war in the 1980.

Watched as double bill together with ‘Scandal Sheet’, from the same period of Samuel Fuller at Columbia... thanks Powerhouse! I didn’t find this as good and enjoyable as the other feature, although both are quite characteristic of their age. ‘Shockproof’ is quite anachronistic in characterising a women charged with murder on parole, as stereotypical housewife who just happens to fell in love of any other man ready to manipulate her will... erm didn’t age well.
