The slow erosion of Pacific vistas, amber horizons charts sunsets that last forever but feel seconds away from setting. When it does set, Pacifiction opts for a bold final act that’s as subtle and innocuous as the ambient political thriller that Serra sets up, yet its stylistically brave final act bares themes of ego and colonialism that scorch the Polynesian sea red.
