The best of the corporate intrigue here is akin to Demonlover, the worst biopic conventions point towards (cheers Juzz) Erin Brockovich.
Isabelle Huppert sells it with her blonde hair and hardhat - even if this is essentially what was left on the cutting room floor from Elle. There are some great moments in the first act, and some great supporting turns from Marina Foïs and Pierre Deladonchamps. Unfortunately La Syndicaliste - or The Sitting Duck - is limited by the true story it has to tell, to the detriment of a quality film.
