Sarthi Swadia’s review published on Letterboxd:
Hey everyone! I just want to make a couple of quick announcements for y'all because based on my recent activity, you might have a couple questions. If I didn't answer your question about what in the world is going on with my profile in this, then make sure to tell me in the comments. First of all, I'm having a hard time choosing my profile picture. There are so many good ones that keep popping up for me, and I feel like I instantly want to change it to that, and I am trying to look for a consistent style. The Batman one I have right now probably isn't permanent, and I'm going to try to permanently fix it for a while, hopefully over the weekend. The second thing is that I'm trying to figure out a style for reviewing movies. I don't know if I want to focus more on Letterboxd, or YouTube. But if you didn't see my updated The Amazing Spider-Man review, I apparently wrote a fairly long review, and I had so much fun making that so that might continue in the future. I'm hoping to have my videos pretty much say the exact same thing as my Letterboxd reviews so that they are pretty much equal. Let me know what you want for my reviews in the comments! The third thing is that I don't know if I should do decimals or percentages for my reviews. Both of them are cool in my opinion. For the percentages, I have an emoji next to the percentage for the movie, and it looks nicer. It also feels better to say for example "I'm going to give this movie an 83%", compared to saying "I'm going to give this movie an 8 point 3 out of 10. I don't know, let me know what you think. I also like having those quotes in the beginning of my reviews and then having the emoji right next to it, but it's a disadvantage for my reviews on YouTube. Finally, I'm trying to figure out how to make my reviews more interesting. They sort of feel like a pain to read for some people, so tell me what to do to make them more interesting. Also quick note, I'm gonna use this to review TV shows that aren't on Letterboxd, so look out for this stuff. That's it, bye!
