Everybody knows me, if you play the family angle and execute as well as it is here, I'm immediately attached.
In a change greatly implemented through Pixar's medium, we focus on Mexican customs, Dia de los Muertos to be more specific, and how vital tradition moves a family. It expresses the concern of the creative member in the family, how important their passion is. Miguel is staunch in his goal to become a musician, rather than another shoe maker.
To this day, although not that long ago, Coco remains the single most breathtaking spectacle in Pixar's library. The color palette alone is enough to make painters, graphic designers and the like green with envy. As scenes progress, you notice that it continues a trend in out-doing itself with the visual feast, in technique and attention to detail.
Most importantly, it weaves a touching tale about keeping the honor and legacy of your past loved ones alive, for even if we don't directly follow where they have treaded, they are who modeled our fate. In them, we can find the answers we so desperately seek through life.
