“I knew I’d seen you before. The fuckin’ freak from the tunnel!”
Filth by Jon S. Baird, truly means everything to me and I’ll tell you why… Based on the brilliant novel by Irvine Welsh, it’s so Scottish and the film is even better, being one of my favourite and most watched films. “This isn’t some parts of the country. This is Scotland, BY CHRIST!” In fact… around November and December 2023, I was getting into the holiday spirit, watching…
I’m starting 2024 off right, by busting out my Criterion Collection copy of not only the ultimate coming-of-age/high school film ever made, but also one of my favourite films of all time, Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Everybody NEEDS to see this timeless, must-watch movie. Based on the book by Cameron Crowe, it’s truly so important and one of the best films ever made. Amy Heckerling, you genius… what a directorial debut!

I knew Jessie would be awake, but I did not see that carnage-filled, bloodbath of…
With all the terrible new movies lately, I more than needed this. He’s literally me at my cottage…
I’ve been patiently waiting for James Watkins’ remake of Speak No Evil, as nobody plays an absolute sociopath better than James McAvoy. James never misses and Paddy is easily one of his best characters/performances yet. He crushes it.
From the cast, to the locations and the nerve-wracking plot, Speak No Evil is one of the…
I continue my rum fuelled POTC rewatch with one of my top 4 favourite films of all time and my favourite of the series, Dead Man’s Chest. A film I love so much, I have a tattoo of the key on the side of my left index finger and a kraken tentacle, as part of a map on my wrist, amongst a bunch of other pirate themed art on my hand.
