Watched a few of these lesbian Christmas movies now and, gotta say, this literal Lifetime movie had maybe the only convincing chemistry between the leads (sorry Alexandra Swarens). Maybe it’s just that Charlie spends every scene looking at Alma like she wants to bite her (even in that fuckass Bettie Page wig).

What it lacks in a third act, it makes up for in making the already convoluted lore of this universe even more nonsensical.

Sometimes a family is two alien-robot husbands, the orphan girl they found who later gets stuck by herself until adulthood in 14th century Korea (with a gun), her wizard con artist boyfriend and the two middle age catboys he can summon from a stolen magic fan.
This was fun enough that I forgive it for only being half a movie. Even more so than Dune (2021).
