Hello everyone, I want to announce that I will no longer be on Letterboxd anymore.
Instead of just randomly leaving, I thought a log would be appropriate so there is no confusion. The reason for me leaving is that social media has always been frustrating for me and it takes a big toll on my mental health, and my mental health is much more important than making reviews and lists so I hope all of you understand that. …
Baz Luhrmann’s coked out and stylized vision is perfect for a Elvis biopic.
Austin Butler delivers a solid performance while Tom Hanks is razzies-worthy as a Tommy Wiseau “Tom Parker”. Hanks’ terrible performance does add to the absurdity and chaos though so that doesn’t drag the film at all. It does loose steam after awhile but overall, this was pretty great.
Dave Chappelle really is one of the best comedic voices of our time. It’s a shame cancel-culture has tried to fuck him over all these years but I’m glad he is still able to maintain his format on Netflix and have a voice.
