Ali Abbasi's film plays like a Safdie Brothers flick meets comic book villain origin story. Sebastian Stan slowly morphs into the narcissistic asshole with ease. Honestly, early on, I felt for Don the Con...didn't last. Jeremy Strong embodies that bastard Roy Cohn perfectly.
I can honestly say that I found quite a bit of this riveting. Though, outside of Stan & Strong, the writing for the other characters dips in quality. But honestly, the show is Stan's Trump and Strong's Cohn. And the buzz for Strong, as a top BSA candidate, is warranted.
