having recently come back from a family reunion, a lot of the film's observations rang too true. the gossip, the unsolicited advice, the slight ever-not-quite-there passive aggression. they're amplified by a long-standing grief that reveals itself as it goes on but is never tackled. some things just linger. you keep walking
