Inevitability. A prevailing film, i couldn’t remember if I had seen this before, but as it got going I realized I had. Depressing, sure. But of the sort of complex reality that we all encounter. A sin cannot be forgiven while on this earth, no matter our intentions. If an afterlife is real, and we have a chance at redemption, it is there and there alone we can truly feel relief. Circumstances, all too often, simply won’t allow it.
