Color goes so insanely hard in this (and other Italian horror or giallo films) that I can’t help but fall in love with it. A horror film that feeds on every trope but never feels cheap or manipulative. Excellent cast, and fun story.
Can definitely see inspiration from this toward David Lynch and the imagery of Twin Peaks, made me reconsider other films I’ve seen before Lynch’s series (mainly those by Mario Bava like Kill, Baby, Kill) and how they may have influenced him as well. First Argento did not disappoint.
