    can’t believe this is the film that’s going to beat I’m Still Here for best international feature at the Oscars…

    i watched Emilia Pérez so that i could hate it in good faith but honestly it was not *as* bad as i expected. Karla Sofía Gascón absolutely carries and is so much better than this film deserves. 

    that being said, Emilia Pérez is a mess that lacks any real sense of identity and it is understandable why people are so incensed by its mere existence.
