As energetic and passionate as this is, it came across to me as a little generic. The animation is great and it’s very colorful, but other than that I didn’t enjoy very much of this.

Most of the characters are super unlikable, and even their arcs don’t end up making them amount to being any more than 1 note pawns in a movie full of frustrating tropes. I hate when movies have a character (or in this case, 2) that…

    Hi everyone!

A lot has happened since I posted my last short film Infected on here, and I’ve been lucky enough to gain a following of some incredibly awesome people who have given me support I never thought possible from people I’ve never met in person. That being said I wanna thank everyone who was a part of the journey of making this, (as well as those who watched Infected when I first posted it) I really appreciate it and…

Wow I related to this so much! Especially the scene where Rami Malek and Denzel are in a car talking about how bored they are while waiting for something to happen...

This is my favorite Al Pacino performance because he screams more than he did in The Godfather, but less than he did in Scarface. Balance.

I understood everyone’s excitement back in 2015 when Pixar announced a slew of sequels to their original movies. But I wasn’t nearly as excited as everyone else because I knew we weren’t gonna get a good, original Pixar movie until these were all over. Technically I was wrong because the best Pixar movie to come out since that announcement was Coco, unsurprisingly, since it wasn’t a sequel.

I’m not saying I hated the recent sequels, (except maybe Cars 3, I…

“He didn’t get out of the cocka-doody car!”

The performance Kathy Bates gives is one of my favorite performances of all time. Almost anyone else would have made that role incredibly cringy and awkward, but man, she was perfect for this role and made the character creepy and unsettling as hell.

I also think this is one of the best Stephen King adaptations. Very few of them are this suspenseful and engaging, and a lot of them don’t do the…

    The Christmas Chronicles

    ★★

I’m a little disappointed. Everything about this movie outside of Kurt Russell looks and feels like a shitty sitcom. I also have to mention the abomination that was the CGI elves, and how horribly the children characters were written.

But, I will say this is the first time I’ve seen Santa look like a believable person as opposed to an over the top caricature in a movie. Although I’ll always have a soft spot for Paul Giamatti’s Santa, Russell is probably the best on screen Santa since Richard Attenborough in Miracle on 34th Street.

Mike Myers is iconic as Shrek, but I really wish we had a chance to see Chris Farley’s Shrek. I always found it really interesting that he actually recorded almost all the lines before he passed. They also changed the script when Myers took over to leave no trace of Farley’s Shrek, so it was a completely different movie. I’ve always wondered what that version would have been like.

HERE is Chris Farley’s Shrek for anyone interested.

Ok yes, the kid is practically the spawn of satan. But, if you walk in on your kid jerkin it and you make prolonged eye contact instead of immediately closing the door, there’s blame on both sides.

    “I have an egg.”
    “Well get rid of that.”
“You don’t think I want to?“

Aaron Sorkin’s writing style is perfect for a movie like this, because it speeds up the court scenes to a point where there’s no fluff or unnecessary plot exposition, which is where a lot of court dramas go wrong. It also helped that this cast is stacked and everybody gave an incredible performance. Definitely one of the better films to come out in 2020.

I’m officially hopping on the Sacha Baron Cohen for best supporting actor train.

Edit: I hopped off the train in favor of Daniel Kaluuya.

A lot of the stupid Adam Sandler comedies are complete garbage, but he looks like he’s having the time of his life making them. Good for him honestly, the man practically gets to just dick around with his friends for a few months and has a whole movie to show for it.

Not the best movie, but it’s got a surprisingly great aesthetic to it.
