Oh the way we need to ALL sign a petition on making Freya Allan the next Lara Croft Especially that one scene in the film where she is looking over her shoulder back at the camera with wet hair looks like Tomb Raider.
(Prepare for a LONG REVIEW)
The way this slapped in Imax🔥🤘, definitely gonna see this 2 more times on the weekend🤌. When Mae said " Sorry " in the top floor of the crashed boat to Noa My mind straight to thinking of Freya playing Ciri from THE WITCHER and the scene right near the end of Mae in the blue jacket/coat with the horse gave me such Ciri vibes from season 3 of The Witcher.
Before I start the review I must say I am so proud of Freya Allan, since she made her professional acting debut in 2018 with playing Young Minerva In the tv show Into The Badlands I became such a fan and since then she has grown so much in the film/show industry with being in one of the best roles that I think made her get this spotlight she is getting and showing other directors in hollywood she deserves way more roles due to her acting skills and overall always working hard in every role she gets and that was her role as Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon in the Witcher series (The show especially season 3 was garbage for many reasons) but her performance as Ciri was phenomenal and I am super excited to see how far she has come with thus far. Now starring in one of the biggest and best franchises besides The Witcher is now Planet of The Apes Franchise! In my opinion her performance as Mae is easily in top 2 performances from her, Ciri and Mae👍👌. Also she is slaying this year with being in Baghead and now Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.

Ok now after that WHOLE essay about Freya Allan is done onto the actual review of this film:
I had high hopes for this because Wes Ball was directing this movie and I loved his 3 maze runner's he did and oh boy how he cooked with this one☝️. Super excited to see how his sequel or trilogy ends up looking if he does end up continuing it so now I'll get straight to the point before I start yapping; is this film up to the standards of Dawn ? No, Is Owen Teague as Noa as badass as Andy Serkis as Caesar ? No where close. If you love the Planet of the Apes franchise you will love the hell out of this one! For Owen's First time playing as Noa it was a decent performance and towards the end I saw some Caesar in him. The film itself was visually stunning, great VFX and good camera work, Raka definitely added some comedy/humor to this film which had me laughing at parts and a beautiful tribute to Caesar at the start of the film & throughout the first half of the film and a story that kept me engaged throughout the whole 2 and a half hours, it had some pacing issues especially right near the start where it started off kinda slow and a few spots in the middle but the connection with the characters makes up for it, the end battle was cool and the way Noa gave such Caesar vibes with his moment and stance but besides that I really liked this movie it's fun with great action parts, great character development especially the bond between Mae and Noa throughout the film and a solid movie added to the planet of the apes franchise with a great main human character (Mae) and a great new main Chimpanzee character (Noa) and also cool side characters that got their time to shine. The Villain (Proximus Caesar) was okay nothing too crazy, he basically made the other chimps fear and follow him via words. The end battle was okay the man really died from Noa and his clan singing so the eagles would fly and chip Proximus then at the end of it he fell off the side to the water from Noa's eagle flying in and pushing him off. I Still think Koba is the best villain thus far in this franchise.
Noa's development was great in this first film and I hope we get a sequel to this because I NEED TO SEE MORE OF HIM! Oh and the ending with capturing zooming in on Mae's face then back to Nao's then back to Mae's was very well shot which I think makes a good lead for making a sequel.
Now onto my yapping;
I really loved the tribute of Caesar Wes decided to put in this film right at the start and carrying on throughout the first half of the film with Raka explaining and talking about Caesar's ways to Nao and explaining how humans and apes got along and worked together. The first action scene right near the start with Noa trying to search for Echo which was Mae but he saw his friend dying and the clan of Proximus Caesar saw the blanket Noa dropped cause he had to hide in the bushes so Proximus clan went and raided Noa's village with burning it down, killing a few chimps and also killing Noa's dad pretty cool starting action scenes if you ask me. Since it set up Noa on the development of searching for his clan and bringing them back to rebuild their village that Proximus clan burnt down.👌
