THE APES ARE BACK!!!!
This movie had a lot to live up to. While I wouldn’t say this was better than Dawn or War there is still so much to enjoy. This movie honors Caesar in a beautiful way. I know everyone is worried with Matt Reeves not being back that this movie wouldn’t live up to the hype, but Wes Ball did a phenomenal job directing this. I had faith in him since the beginning especially his success on the Maze Runner trilogy. Wes Ball cooked with this. Owen Teague is really good as Noa, and while he might not be better than Andy Serkis as Caesar he is still an absolute delight to watch. I cannot wait to see more from him in the future. Freya Allan as Mae might be my favorite human character since James Franco as Will Rothman, but I’m not sure yet. Kevin Durand was really good as Proximus Caesar, and I wish he had more screen time. The story was great. The world building was fantastic and the end sets up the next movie very well. The visuals were some of the best in the reboot movies yet especially in the third act. I would definitely recommend to anyone especially the die hard apes movies but don’t expect this to be better than Dawn or War. I’m so happy to see this franchise come back and I cannot wait for more. I hope all of you enjoy watching this!!!!
