2 hours of unfiltered warfare running as rampant as can be on nothing but pure chaos, the only thing more ruthless than the roads are those who ride them. I’m really glad George Miller got to revisit this franchise once digital filmmaking hit the scene because his stylistic choices here are nothing short of admirable, everything looks absolutely amazing from the clouds of dust the the perfect set/costume design and even the lighting is utterly hypnotic. Although my theatre got pretty disruptive at times I still thought this was an incredibly fun time and it didn’t have to sacrifice any genuine substance to achieve that like most other blockbusters of its time did! Mixed the comedy and intensity well enough that it never felt tonally confused. Even hours later I’m still just in pure amazement of how great this turned out to be. Doing so many more reviews than usual for such similar movies all day has been tough so I’ll leave it off here.
