Always wary going into a film with a lot of hype, even if I thought Whiplash was a masterpiece. But wow, this is one of the greatest films I've ever seen!!
It has so many things I love, feels like it was made for me. I thought the scenes with Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling in Crazy, Stupid, Love were funny and cute but that was nothing compared to this. The beautiful settings and visuals were a joy to look at and then those songs! I know I will be listening to the soundtrack a lot. I don't even have the skill to talk about how much I loved this film and why, but if I did it would be an essay because there's just so much in this to look at and think about.
I laughed, I swooned, I cried - this was an experience. So much so that I'm writing this the morning after watching and I still don't think I've quite recovered.
