The first Paddington was really good and made me excited to check out the sequel seeing how I've never seen it before. I don't know what magic Paul King has but this one was even better. Great humour, great plot, great characters and well, great everything really. It is wild how they've managed to nail just about every single department possible.
Paddington 2 really is The Godfather II of family movies.
Interestingly, one of the few Looney Tunes cartoons in the public domain that features Elmer Fudd in his more well-known design than the fat one he has with the other shorts.
This is a great parody of Disney's Fantasia with the Bugs and Porky segment being absolutely priceless.
The colourisation is just as decent as it was with the Daleks one but I still think this isn't the best way to experience this absolute masterpiece of a story - not when it feels this heavily condensed and truncated (even more so than The Daleks) with some really good moments just gone completely just so they can get to the Time Lord related stuff quicker. It's the Reader's Digest version of the story only with an added regeneration sequence…
